Fast and Secure remote support

At MNI Services, we primarily use Datto RMM to provide remote control support to our customers. 

Access Protection 

Once installed we make use of Datto Privacy Mode to ensure you are in control of when your system is accessed. This means that, as well as knowing the identifier for your computer our engineers will need you to approve access via an on-screen prompt. 

Also, it is not possible to invisibly control a computer. For data protection reasons the person sitting on the remote computer must be able to detect when someone is accessing the machine. After accepting the prompt another popup will appear to confirm that remote control is now active, this can be verified by checking the icon in the system tray as well. 

If your device does not have the Datto agent installed, and one of our engineers needs access, you can download the agent for (Windows, Linux, or MacOS.) The engineer will then talk you through configuration and granting access.

Other Options 

We appreciate that the Datto solution is not for everyone, especially for one-off support needs. Our engineers can also work with you via the Microsoft Quick Assist app for Windows 10 & 11. If you don't already have it installed then you can access via the Microsoft Store.
