The football club runs teams for children from the under 7's right up to under 16's, a total of around 150 children, and like most similar organisations relies solely on volunteers to coach the players and perform the essential administration functions.
MNI Senior Project Manager Gary Shipp, who has been involved with several of the younger age groups over the last 4 years including the under 7's added “There are so many children who do and have benefited from the work of everyone involved, but the Club just would not be able to survive without the generosity of the local businesses who help fund kits which are expensive in themselves and especially so when you have up to 10 separate teams as we do! The jackets and tops make the boys feel like a ‘real’ team when they turn up for training and matches as well as keeping them warm and dry”.
